These are my favorite window treatments...(mis)treatments, rather. I have had them up now since what seems like the dawn of time, and I still absolutely adore them. They are fashioned after The Nester's notorious no-sew method. If I could be a cheerleader for mistreatments, I would buy some pom poms and practice my herkies. I have some variation in just about every room in my home, but these are the original ones for me that started it all. They are literally cut and clipped. No hemming, no glue, no hand stitches, no trim. Silk fabric, cut and clipped. And poofed. And loved by me.

Dang it! I am always hoping that one day you will get tired of these curtains and pass them along to me. I can see that will not be happening any time in the near future. Ok. I will give up on the curtains for now. You can just give me Jack-Jack instead. He would look better hanging out in my dining room that any old curtains anyway.

Ok, first of all... I LOVE that silk! Gorgeous! And I can't tell these are mistreatments, they look professionally "poofed!" :)
Also, I absolutely laughed out loud when you said you would do herkies for mistreatments. Sooo funny!

The look like they cost a billion dollars. I love the rich colors and the stripe. They are beautiful.

Woohoo! I'll do a herky with you girl! Just let me stretch first, it's been a while.
See, this is why I wanted to hire you to do my treatments a few months back! I need to find the link to the Nester's Mistreatment guide and hop on that bandwagon fast!
Yours look like a million bucks!

Hmmmm ... "mistreatment" is a new term to me, and now you've got me wanting to learn it. I agree that those are GORGEOUS and even though I do sew, I'd give it up gladly to make those!

I have been enjoying looking at your house after doing a search for picture railing images and was sent to your site. Can you tell me the paint color on these walls? I really like it. Thanks!

How I love your curtains! They look as gorgeous as yours! And they also bring more life to the entire room. I always take good care of my windows by cleaning them every day. As for my curtains and blinds, the dry cleaning team here in Indianapolis does the job in keeping them clean and looking new all the time.

It looks gorgeous, indeed. I don't see it as being over the top or whatever. It's just right for your house. I like your choice of gold and red, it brings out the beauty of the windows.
