Did all y'all have a fun Fourth?? We had such a great little weekend celebrating one of my all-time favorite holidays! I love the Fourth for so many reasons...it's the birthday of our blessed country (and I am verrrry patriotic), it's in the height of summer (my favorite season), and we got engaged seven years ago over the Fourth!
The above picture is of us enjoying the fireworks at our downtown Fourth Festival. As you can see, I forgot my camera!! Isn't that terrible when you do that? It killed me!
Amelia, of course, LOVED all the action. She is quite the social butterfly, hopping onto everybody else's blankets and walking up to just any ol' body. There are no strangers to that little girl! Needless to say, Mike was busy chasing after her until the fireworks started, and then she sat completely still. It was precious seeing her little face just staring in awe at the fireworks while she sat in her daddy's lap. (And me with no camera....) Jack Jack slept through the whole show. I pressed his little head against my arm so that it covered one ear and put my hand to the other side so the booming wouldn't be too loud for him. Bless his sweet heart!
One of my favorite things....Carson, our friends' son, commented on each and every firework that went off, which had us all laughing. At one point, he hollared, "Mrs. Katie, this firework is for you. It's perfect for you!" ISN'T THAT TOO SWEET FOR WORDS?? I just loved it! (And, just so you know, that firecracker was pink...so he was right, it was perfect for me. Haha!)
On Sunday, we tried to get some good pictures of the kids, but it's so hard to keep Little Miss You-Know-Who still...especially when there are flags to wave about! Oh well, it was another wonderful Fourth!
Katie!
You are looking GREAT! Oh my word, you look fabulous, mama lady! I love you in yellow. :o)
Jack and Amelia are just darlin' as always! I love his handsome little outfits, and LOL about her running all over the place! And Carson, what a sweetie he sounds like!
It sounds like you guys had a terrific 4th! Grace could care less about fireworks (who's like that?!) but I love 'em. We saw them in three different directions from our backyard after getting home from my in-laws annual picnic. A very nice way to wind up the day. :o)
Hope you guys are having a great week!

Katie,
Amelia always has the cutest bows in her hair. Where did you get them? I'd love to find some for my Sophie Grace.

I love the drawing! Bless your sweet heart! Your precious babies are so sweet. I loved Amelia's dress and I want to just squeeze little Jack's legs. Oh my word those rolls are so cute! We don't have many of those around here and it makes me sad. So glad you had a wonderful weekend!

Hi Katie,
I just found your blog a few days ago and have had so much fun reading about your beautiful family.
This is quite a random question but I thought I remembered you saying that you loved tanning mist. I have fair skin too and was wondering if you could recommend a brand that dries quickly.
Thanks so much,
Summer (from Sydney, Australia)

Hi Katie! I hope you are well. Looks like you had a great 4th! Your son Jack is so adorable (as is of course Amelia). I didn't realize you'd had a baby - I've been out of pocket for a while, but have been back to blogging now for a bit. I love your home so much and your decorating style - it's so cozy, warm, and inviting. My best to you!

Catching up on my blog reading after being on vacation and out of the loop for a few weeks. The 4th pictures are great--as always your babies are precious.

I found your blog a few weeks ago through Kelly's Korner. I just love it and I spent WAY too much time reading all the way back to the beginning - I skipped some along the way just so you don't think that I am a total stalker :). Love the pictures, love the recipes and your kids are precious! Thanks for sharing!!

I enjoy your blog...I found it thru "Kelly's Korner." I was wondering where you find such cute clothes for your little ones.

Hey Katie - Yes, the show was Killer Catfish. Is he nuts or what? And every time my kids talk about "man eating catfish" I think of people at the local catfish restaurant enjoying some fried catfish, corn on the cob and hush puppies, not those ugly things! Yuck!
I just love looking at your pict of Jack Jack. His chunky little legs remind me of my Jack Jack...7 years ago. They grow up so fast. Now he's tall, skinny and not a ounce of fat anywhere in site (he obviously doesn't take after his momma!)
Oh, what precious, sweet kiddos! Glad you get it about priorities. So many people don't, ever, or until it's too late!
Blessings!
A
P.S. Can't wait to see picts of his room!

Hi Katie,
Looks like y'all had a fun 4th! Judging by the color crayon drawn family picture, which was too cute!
That lil Jack is one handsome man! It may be a good thing we don't live in Georgia after all, I think Allie Claire might like to kiss on him. It is clear that Miss Amelia is wild about her little brother. You are one lucky lady to have such sweet babies!

I actually found your blog through Kelly's Korner, and really liked your template. I continued reading and saw that y'all are from the metro area, too! Just wanted to let you know you've gained a new reader!
