Twenty Things I Will Never Do
I will never...
1. ...be good at math. Remember how you learned to count on your fingers? I still do that. Every time I count. Every time.
2. ...stop antiquing, junking, and thrifting.
3. ...have a gorgeous, glowing tan.
4. ...give up on having said tan. (I am the Queen of Mystic Tan. And I have never objected to slathering on baby oil and iodine and frying soaking (who am I kidding?) frying in the sun.
5. ...stop drinking sweet tea, a.k.a. Champagne of the South.
6. ...drive a mini-van. Never. Ever. Ever. Ever. Never.
7. ...like olives. They taste like formaldehyde. Not that I've tasted formaldehyde, mind you.
8. ...forget the first moment I saw my baby. I will relinquish every memory I have, but not this one...ever. It would be impossible.
9. ...live in the north.
10. ...again put Amelia down for a nap wearing only a diaper. There's a story there. I'll leave it to your imagination.
11. ...stop loving carbs.
12. ...tap dance like a professional. But that doesn't stop me from donning my real tap shoes and busting out in Rockette chorus-line fashion to "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" like I, in fact, know what I am doing.
13. ...outgrow my desire for a pair of majorette boots.
14. ...stop wanting to have kids. At least, I don't think I will. I want a whole litter. How many do I have now? One. You just told me to wait and see, didn't you?
15. ...wear skinny pants.
16. ...say "No, thank you" to gravy. Or chips.
17. ...forget where I came from.
18. ...find the "K" ring I lost in Greenbo Lake on a fishing trip with my Papaw.
19. ...golf.
20. ...stop loving God.
I swiped this idea from my new blog friend Lindsey. What about y'all's "I'll Never..." list?
Shaking my head in agreement while reading...but, hey, what's wrong with the north?
Fun list, enjoyed reading it!

Definitely NO mini-van for me either. I also hate olives. EW! I want more kids as well...a whole litter would be fab. My husband says only 1 more. Love sweet tea, carbs, and chips. Also JUST SAY NO to skinny pants. They are the devil. HA! Loved your list!

I've been meaning to mention this to you.....we lived in Carrollton GA for a year. How far are you from the Villa Rica area? I know you said you got your hair done there. I actually taught school in VR for a year. Whew. It was a tough year. I did not like Eastern time. Isn't that funny? My body clock is totally set on Central time.

About the minivan.....when you were younger we needed a new car. You and your sister climbed in the back of a new minivan and wouldn't get out - so we bought it!!! Wait until your kids do that to you. Never say never.

Hahahaha, Momma!! I never said I wouldn't ride in one...just that I'd never drive one for myself. Haha! Thanks for the reminder about never saying never, though. Now, what was that I used to say about never letting toys in the living room...

Totally hear you on the counting with your fingers - sad, but true!!!

I agree with your mom! NEVER say NEVER abt the minivan! I said I would NEVER get a minivan and argued with my hubby abt it before we purchased my first brand new car ever right after my second son was born. I went around for a week looking for new family wheels even in the rain and I came across my beloved Eddie Bauer Exp in brown. I LOVED it and was tickled as punch that it was mine!
All the fam lives in Ga and we lived in Tx at the time so we needed something that everybody could ride in. It was awful for the gps to get in and out of and the boys would not be able to get in and out on their own for many years. After moving to Louisianna with higher home prices and gas outrageous I offered up my Exp to save money since I am a SAHM. We needed something that would be easy for everybody to get in and out of so we ended up with a Honda Odyssey.
Yes, it was a sad day and even more sadly it does not save on gas at all...well maybe a lil' but not nearly as much as i should. It is VERY family friendly though and now with my boys being 4 and two they both get in and out al on their own with room for hopefully one more. I am holding out for a lil' girl but hubby says no. It is awesome for trips!
To make a long story short it is a love and hate relationship with the mini van but let me tell ya the minute the boys are in grade school I am heading right back to the Ford Dealership for new Expedition!

I'm glad you will never stop wanting to have kids. That doesn't mean you WON'T stop having kids cuz at some point, you know...you will. But that doesn't mean you have to stop wanting to.
Love this list. Great idea. And the North isn't all that bad :) (says the girl who lives in the Carolinas)
