These are the new curtains I finished for the dining room. I ADORE this silk fabric! I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and not really looking to replace the dining room curtains...but when I saw this fabric, I fell in love. It is definitely a bit more formal than the rest of my house, but it IS the so-called formal dining room, right? Anyway, I love it. And I think it is going to look so perfect for our Valentine's Day dinner this coming week.
Unfortunately, they have proven hard to photograph. Here are some shots... (the colors are really muted champagnes and greens and a great red for some pop)... oh, and please overlook my mess :o) ...

oh i love it! It definitely makes the window areas pop more!!! It looks great! You did a wonderful job! :)

Would you mind sending this untalented seamstress some type of directions for those gorgeous curtains? I have a friend willing to hold my hand through the project if you could give me some type of pattern info. :) Thanks! Jess

Hi, Jess! These curtains are a "no sew" project. I made them using The Nester's tutorial... she is at nestingplacenc.blogspot.com. She calls them window "mis-treatments!" They are fabulous, aren't they? She is really talented and has tons of good stuff on her blog!

Thank you soooo much for leaving your kind comment on my blog. Your house is so beautiful. I love the curtains you made, are they dupioni? I really loved the pic of the table outside with the brown tablecloth on it, very cool. Do you have a link column? I would love to exchange links with you!!
